ENTRYWAY DIY

This is one of my favorite recent projects!  My entryway is narrow w/a large stand-alone closet that blocks your view into the living room upon entering the front door.  I like to feel at home the second you walk in the door, and since we rent the house the only way to maximize function & aesthetic is w/furniture & art.  I decided a small console table & a mirror would do the trick!

After lots of online searching I found this table at Kohls.  My criteria was it needed to be 1. budget friendly 2. under 12″ deep (hard to find) 3. stylish.  At the time, it was on sale & I had a 30% off (I live for this discount!) plus some Kohl’s cash from a previous purchase & a free shipping code.  Don’t you just love when you can stack coupons?!

A couple weeks prior I had purchased a decorative wooden wall art panel for under $10 at an antique store with plans for it to hang on a wall.  When I assembled the table I got an idea…the panel just so happened to be the exact color & perfect size (slightly wider) to become an embellished table-top!  Three command strips are securely holding the art & table together – a very easy DIY.

Since my 12″ x 35″ wooden art piece was thrifted, I can’t link it here.  But if you’re interested in creating a similar project, here’s a few I found online w/close measurements:

Wayfair 1 | Wayfair 2 (comes w/two but you could use the other as wall art!) |
